About Us

A 100% volunteer organization protecting the Central Cascades since 2014.

Our Story

Friends of the Central Cascades Wilderness is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, established in 2014. We are dedicated to protecting and preserving the wilderness areas of the Central Cascades.

We work in partnership with the Deschutes and Willamette National Forests to steward four wilderness areas: Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Washington, Three Sisters, and Diamond Peak. Our volunteers care for trails, campsites, and natural landscapes across these incredible wild places.

As a non-sectarian and non-partisan organization, we are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. We welcome all who share our passion for preserving wilderness for future generations.
